The For-Mar Nature Preserve & Arboretum
The For-Mar Nature Preserve & Arboretum is a 383-acre preserve. This natural area includes a visitor center, trails, and woody specimens. It even has a treehouse for kids. For a full experience, visitors can purchase tickets to the treehouse. Its address is 2142 N Genesee Rd, Burton, MI 48509. The treehouse is the perfect way to spend an afternoon with your family.
The For-Mar Nature Preserve is home to a diverse collection of plants and animals. It also contains seven miles of hiking trails and a memorial garden. The visitor center is open year-round, and the gravel service drive allows for jogging, biking, and cross-country skiing when the ground is frozen. In addition to the botanical garden, For-Mar also features a large collection of native Michigan plants. It also has a butterfly house and barrier-free Treehouse.
For-Mar Nature Preserve & Ornamental Grass and Native Species collections can be found here. A nature center is also nearby and has restrooms, drinking water, and a gift shop. You can visit the Foote Bird Museum in the DeWaters Education Center, which is located next to a picnic area and barrier-free trails. The arboretum is open daily from eight in the morning to five in the evening. The Butterfly House is open to the public on Sundays from two to four p.m.
For-Mar Nature Preserve & Ornamental Garden is a great place for families to spend a day with the kids. There is ample parking for all types of vehicles. Children can play in the outdoor playground and explore the unique plants and animals that live here. You can also visit the Friends of For-Mar, which was established in 1974 by Martha Merkley, and take part in guided tours of the Arboretum and its gardens.

The For-Mar Nature Preserve & Dorritum is an educational center for families. During your visit, you’ll be able to observe birds from all over the world. The main room of the For-Mar Arboretum has 22 large display cases filled with birds. Several types of bird species perch in trees and nest near eggs.
